Sports Premium

From September 2013, the Government has provided schools with funding to be spent on improving physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. The funding must be spent on improving the provision of Physical Education and Sport for the benefit of pupils, encouraging healthy lifestyles.
George Eliot Primary School received £15,400 in 2017/18.
This funding has been spent on the following:
–       Employing a specialist PE teacher
–       Purchasing new equipment and kit for teaching of PE
–       Subsidising afterschool clubs
–       Providing CPD for staff to support lunch/break time activities
–       Supporting school application for Healthy Schools Awards
